***UPDATED 12/9/25***

Precuts are your best bet for our tallest trees this year! Check out our video explaining why.

Fraser Firs

Fraser Fir branches turn slightly upward.  They have good form and needle-retention.  They are dark blue-green in color.  They have a pleasant scent and according to customers, hold ornaments well.  Frasers are more labor intensive; in that, all shearing is done by hand one branch at a time.  An average 6' tree can grow 300-400 cones making the tree unrecognizable; therefore, each cone must be picked off the tree by hand….every year.

Douglas Fir

Douglas Fir has long, flat, spirally arranged needles that grow directly from the branch. Each blue-green needle has a short stalk at the base and a grooved upper surface. Winter buds are brown, shiny and pointed. The hanging oblong cones have three pointed bracts (outer cone scales). Cones mature in one season and retain their scales when they fall to the ground. They used to be the number #1 selling Christmas tree by a landslide. Other trees such as the Fraser Fir, Canaan Fir have grown in popularity during the last 10 years.
